Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of UAreHire.

Effective: September 10, 2026

1. Agreement to these Terms

By creating an account, accessing or using UAreHire, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated into them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. What UAreHire provides

UAreHire provides technology that helps workers and employers discover each other, exchange hiring information, communicate, interview, request permitted verification and record hiring workflow decisions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, UAreHire is not the employer, employee, staffing agency, recruiter of record or party to an employment agreement formed between users.

3. Account responsibilities

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure and promptly update information that becomes inaccurate. You are responsible for activity occurring through your account except to the extent caused by UAreHire's own failure to provide reasonable security.

4. Worker responsibilities

Workers must accurately represent their identity, work history, availability, qualifications, licences, certifications and other material information. UAreHire does not guarantee employment, interviews, compensation or any particular job outcome.

5. Employer responsibilities

Employers must have authority to post and hire for the roles they publish, provide materially accurate job information, comply with applicable employment and human-rights laws, and independently evaluate candidates before hiring.

6. Screening and verification

Employers may request certain verification or background-screening services where available. Screening may be performed by independent providers. Workers must be given the opportunity to provide required consent. Employers are responsible for ensuring that requested checks and their use are lawful, relevant and appropriate for the position.

Screening results are not guarantees of identity, future conduct, qualifications, suitability or job performance.

7. Communications and interviews

UAreHire may provide private messaging, notifications, video interviews and scheduling tools. Users must use these tools lawfully and professionally and must not record interviews or communications unless they have all permissions required by applicable law.

8. Prohibited conduct

You must comply with our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy. Fraud, impersonation, harassment, illegal discrimination, phishing, data scraping, security interference and fake job postings are prohibited.

9. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant UAreHire the limited rights reasonably necessary to host, process, display and transmit that content for operating, securing and improving the platform. You must have the right to submit the content you provide.

10. Third-party services

UAreHire relies on third-party providers for parts of the service, such as hosting, authentication, communications, email, video and screening. Third-party services may have separate terms and privacy practices. Availability of those services is not guaranteed.

11. Platform changes and availability

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features as the platform develops. We work to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

12. Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address violations, fraud, safety concerns, security risks, legal requirements or misuse. You may stop using UAreHire at any time.

13. Disclaimers

UAreHire does not guarantee the accuracy of information supplied by users, the suitability of any worker or employer, the availability of any job, or that any interaction will result in employment. Users are responsible for their own hiring, employment and workplace decisions.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UAreHire is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the platform or interactions between users. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any mandatory rights that apply to you under applicable law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform changes. We will post the revised Terms and effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
