Privacy Policy

This policy explains how UAreHire handles personal information when you use our website, accounts and hiring services.

Effective: September 10, 2026

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use UAreHire, we may collect:

  • Account information such as name, email address and authentication data.
  • Worker profile information such as location, trade or role, skills, experience, availability, licences, certifications and safety tickets.
  • Employer profile and company information.
  • Job postings, applications, invitations, interview details and hiring-status information.
  • Messages and other content you choose to send through the platform.
  • Verification and screening workflow information, including consent and status data.
  • Technical information such as device, browser, IP address, security logs and session information where generated by our systems or service providers.

2. How we use information

We may use personal information to:

  • Create and secure accounts.
  • Operate worker profiles, job postings, matching, applications and invitations.
  • Enable messaging, notifications and interviews.
  • Support verification and background-screening workflows.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
  • Provide customer support and respond to privacy requests.
  • Improve platform reliability, usability and hiring functionality.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Information visible to other users

Information you place in a worker profile may be visible to employers where permitted by the platform. Job and employer information may be visible to workers. Application, invitation, message and interview information is limited to relevant participants and authorized service providers.

4. Service providers

We use service providers to operate parts of UAreHire, such as hosting, authentication, databases, real-time communications, video interviews, email and, when enabled, background screening. These providers may process information on our behalf or, depending on the service, under their own applicable privacy terms.

5. Background screening

When an employer requests screening and a worker consents, an independent screening provider may collect additional identity or background information directly from the worker. UAreHire seeks to limit the sensitive screening data it stores to the information needed to operate the workflow, such as provider identifiers, consent, status and completion information, where practicable.

6. Legal and safety disclosures

We may disclose information where required by law, valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect UAreHire, our users or others from fraud, abuse, security threats or serious harm.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, security, legal obligations and enforcement. Retention periods may differ by category of information.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their passwords and devices and report suspected unauthorized access.

9. Access and correction

You may update certain profile information through your account. You may also contact us to request access to or correction of personal information, subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions.

10. Communications

We may send transactional communications necessary to operate your account, such as confirmation, security, hiring and notification messages. Any commercial electronic communications are subject to applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.

11. Children

UAreHire is intended for people legally able to participate in employment and hiring activities. It is not designed as a service for children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as UAreHire evolves. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the platform where appropriate.
